At T&Y, we believe in bivocational ministry: faithfully serving God while continuing in our professions and caring for our families. Our own ministry leadership lives this conviction, balancing secular employment with leading T&Y.
Like the apostle Paul, who worked as a tentmaker while serving in ministry (Acts 18:3–4), we believe our everyday work and ministry calling can coexist.
What an Associate Missionary can do
- Mentor and disciple teenagers and young adults.
- Lead or support Bible studies and youth fellowships.
- Help with camps, retreats and outreach programmes.
- Encourage young people through life's real-world challenges.
- Support local churches and partner with T&Y missionary teams.
Specific responsibilities, availability, training and safeguarding expectations are discussed individually with each interested person.
Not simply an occasional volunteer.
An Associate Missionary is someone who intentionally commits to ongoing Christian service, while remaining faithful to their workplace and family responsibilities.
